JOB SUMMARY:
As a Glazier at Viva Railings, you will be primarily responsible for the installation, repair, and replacement of all types of glass used in our various railing systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of the craft and a commitment to delivering the highest quality workmanship to our customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Read and interpret blueprints or specifications to determine type, size, location, and quantities of materials required.
- Measure and mark glass and cut glass using glass cutters or computerized cutter.
- Install pre-assembled metal or glass frameworks for glass railings and other glass structures.
- Cut, fit, install, repair, and remove various types of glass, including tempered and laminated glass used in our railing systems.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure specifications are met accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and work in a manner that prioritizes health and safety.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to provide updates and ensure satisfaction.
- Assist with emergency repair services as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Glazier.
- In-depth knowledge of various types of glass and their properties.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and dedication to quality.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
