Director of Sales responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic business plan to achieve sales goals and expand our product base
- Aim for and achieve a revenue growth in the target markets
- Train and manage a group of national based, technically adept, regional Business Development Managers
- Work with Senior Management to establish the proper type of project and customer and implement this criterion through the business regions
- Prequalify if Projects are a good fit prior to sending to the Estimating Department
- Efficiently communicate the companies value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Build a referral network with local companies/businesses and discover ways to maximize value from those connections. The foundation of which will be a diligently maintained CRM program (Salesforce)
- Effectively report on developments that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
- Build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships
- Evaluate and model alternated channels of distribution such as National Accounts and two step distributors
- Swiftly resolve buyer/consumer complaints regarding sales and service
- Motivate and excite team members to make proactive choices in all their communications with clients
- Report monthly on progress by region for sales growth as compared to budget attainment
- Consolidate monthly sales reports and report to senior management status as it relates to business plan
Director of Sales requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Construction Management
- 7+ years of experience in sales management with demonstrated sales executive experience, meeting or surpassing targets
- Strong computer skills, experience with CRM software, Excel and MS Office (Word and Power Point)
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to position products against competitors
- Develop “Lunch and Learn” template for BDM’s and jointly participate with BDM’s to support their presentations
- Organize and participate in national trade shows
